For our 50th anniversary, Jean and I visited Pacific Grove and nearby Monterey, California. At the end of Wharf #2 are perhaps 30 fish carts, used during the week to transfer fish from the local fleet to the processing shed on the wharf. I was fascinated by the repetitive patterns of the sunlit portions, the rusty wheel rims, and the variety of cart handles. Won Best of Show and the Winsor & Newton Painting Award in the "Awash with Color" WASH Members Show at Sacramento Fine Arts Center, April 3-22, 2018, jurored by Jeannie Vodden. 180322.
