Watercolor: Lilies of the Fields - Ithuriel's Spear - 14.5" x 10.5"
One of my favorite spring wildflowers on our property is Itheriel's Spear or Wally Basket (Triteleia laxa), in the Amarilis family. The flowers appear in umbels, and are beautiful, their blue purple blossoms contrasting with the drying grasses around them. Photographing it is hard, since my camera doesn't like to focus on thin objects. Watercolor, 14.5" x 10.5".
