To get my mind ready to travel to Kenya in October 2019, I painted what I consider the arch-typical tree of the African savannah -- the Acacia Thorn Tree. I masked the tree, then painted the colors of sunset. Finally, I removed the mask and painted the tree and the pair of zebras grazing to the right. Exhibited at the WASH Member Show "Awash with Color," April 7-26, 2020. 191014. Watercolor, 14" x 10".
