Watercolor: Dutch Iris in Springtime - 14" x 10"



In the Spring of 2026, when Jean and were walking on Hunters Oak Lane in Loomis, I spotted this clump of bright yellow flowers -- Dutch Iris -- that called out to be painted. For some reason, it's hard painting yellow objects. Finally, I decided to outline the flowers in India ink to make them pop. On whether it was really successful, the jury is still out. Still, the flowers look happy and bright. 260628. Watercolor and ink, 14" x 10".
