Watercolor: Poppies among the Lupine - 20" x 14"



Spring of 2021 has been a great year for lupine -- large patches of it with here and there the color of a California Poppy. I've been fascinated by the kind of visual rhythm set up in my brain when I am viewing a mass of lupine. All the blues and whites vibrate. That's what I was trying to capture here with a meticulous, petal by petal approach. I hope this reminds you of Spring all over again.
