Lily Lake in the south Tahoe area is a beautiful, peaceful spot, surrounded by Quaking Aspen (Populus tremuloides). This sun-drenched sprig had such a beautiful curve that I had to paint it. As I walked along the trail, I could see that the beavers had felled a few Aspens. 230825. Watercolor, 10" x 10".
